School holiday fun has gone virtual for the first time ever at Highpoint Shopping Centre, with the centre’s youngest fans set to enjoy a schedule of creative classes spanning food, science, craft and dance hosted on Instagram TV. Launching on Saturday 19 September, 'Highpoint Academy’ will be Highpoint’s refreshed version of its regular – and much-loved – school holiday program.

Highpoint Academy allows kids to virtually watch and engage with a variety of classes and activities hosted by local Melbourne personalities. Downloadable activities to complement classes means the fun won’t stop these school holidays!

Created for those aged between 5 -12 years old, the two-week video & activities schedule will be accessible via Highpoint’s digital channels with videos on Instagram TV, and support material available on the Highpoint website. To make sure everyone can enjoy the fun, all materials required for each masterclass are easily accessible from home or local supermarkets.

Highpoint Academy classes will be hosted by well-known guests including founder of popular bakehouse Bistro Morgan, Morgan Hipworth, scientist and founder of SciencePlay Kids, Dr. Loz, artists Gemma Patford and Tara Whalley, dance instructor Aisha Kuryana and founder of Sprouts Yoga, Lois Kerr.

Highpoint Academy’s class schedule includes:
- Saturday 19 September: Cooking with Morgan Hipworth from Bistro Morgan Bakehouse
Join Morgan in the kitchen to learn how to bake the most delicious Cookies and Cream Muffins from home.

- Tuesday 22 September: Dance with Aisha Mary Dance
Dust off your dancing shoes and join Aisha on the dance floor as she teaches children an easy to follow hip hop routine.

- Friday 25 September: Tie dye with Tara Whalley
Get creative with Tara as she shows children how to make their own tie dye t-shirts.

- Monday 28 September: Craft with Gemma Patford
Join Gemma as she teaches children how to finger-knit a bracelet for themselves, or someone special! If children would like to package and send the bracelet to someone they love, they can download and decorate an envelope template from the Highpoint website.

- Thursday 1 October: Yoga with Sprouts Yoga
Children can join Lois for a moment of Zen as she teaches them the joy of yoga in an exuberant and colourful way. The yoga adventure will nurture strength, flexibility, imagination and wellbeing.

- Saturday 3 October: Science with Dr Loz from Science Play Kids
It’s time to explore the world of science with Dr. Loz, as she shows mini scientists how to create salt crystals.

Plus, families can go into the draw to win a Highpoint gift card simply by sharing their Highpoint Academy creations on Instagram and tagging @highpointofficial.

Live classes and downloadable activities from Highpoint Academy are free to enjoy. Visit the Highpoint website for details: www.highpoint.com.au.
