March 14th will see Cork and Canvas' 7th birthday—that's hundreds of thousands of masterpieces created and a whole lot of wine! The experience has evolved over the last 7 years from a cocktail filled art class to a BYO paint and sip studio, and now offering public and corporate private events at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, Madame Tussaud’s Sydney, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Tower Eye with the new VIP Champainting® experience.

Following the sold out inaugural ‘Champainting®’ experience on Valentine’s Day, Cork and Canvas has teamed up with Merlin Entertainment, the world’s largest entertainment company, to launch this series of Champainting® experiences with the next one allowing art lovers to paint their inner pop star at Madam Tussaud’s.

The Picasso style art class will enable music fans to get creative with their interpretation of the music icons in Darling Harbour’s Madam Tussaud’s on the 2nd of April. Guests can enjoy a 30-minute self-guided tour and get up-close with their favourite stars. Drinks are then served on arrival at the MTV Room.

This 2-hour paint and sip session boast bottomless drinks including sparkling, red and white wine, beer and soft drinks as well as gourmet grazing platters of assorted meats, cheese, antipasti and breads.

Cork and Canvas Founder Melinda Janiszewski commented: “We’re so excited to launch this new series of ‘Champainting®’ experiences. Watch this space for more paint and sip workshops in truly inspiring places such as Sydney Tower Eye that will be coming up later this year for our public events. However, these experiences are all available to book now for private events—ideal for corporate team building or for a hens night.”

Melinda single-handedly created a whole new category in the Australian entertainment market, specifically, painting and sipping. Prior to migrating to Australia, Melinda noticed the paint and sip concept hadn't yet hit the Australian shores and thus the concept of Cork and Canvas was born.

Since opening her first small, suburban studio in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, the business has exploded into two studios in the heart of South Melbourne and two Sydney studios located in the heart of Darlinghurst on Oxford Street and in the heart of Crows Nest.

To celebrate this milestone, Cork and Canvas has teamed up with Cupitt's Winery. For everyone who books a paint and sip workshop between now and the 4th of April you will go in the draw to win a 2-night stay at Cupitt's Cottage overlooking the vineyards, a two course lunch overlooking the Burril Lake and Budawang Ranges, a behind the scenes tour and tasting at the winery, brewery and fromagerie at the Cupitt's Estate!
