The next Perth Folk and Roots Club at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club is seeing the year out for an Xmas celebration on Sunday 13th December 2020 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club have John Talati and Adele and Salisbury Home.

‘Perth Folk and Roots Club welcome John Talati and Adele and Salisbury Home to perform at Perth Folk and Roots Club‘, said Keith Anthonisz, President of the Perth Folk and Roots Club.

John Talati is a singer/songwriter who has played the Perth scene for many years and together with Adele he has found a duet to bring together sweet harmonies and energy-filled acoustic music. John has also released a number of original albums and covers many genres – folk, country, rock & jazz. John performs all around Perth as a singer/guitarist/harmonica player and plays bass in bands including The Rick Steele band, Indigo Duck and the Lovebites. John is a great supporter of Perth Folk and Roots Club.

Lachlan Gurr brings intricate fingerpicking on guitar and banjo to weave his songs as Salisbury Home. From a misspent youth in Perths punk and metal scene to a hell of a time with The Kill Devil Hills and in between dastardly deeds with the pirate band Rumskull, Lachlan Gurr shows his hidden secrets to a select audience in a rare solo performance. The Kill Devil Hills were a prominent Perth band that won WAMi Awards for "Best Blues/Roots Act" and "Best Country Music Act". National youth radio station, Triple J, played their albums and the band also performed at The West Coast Blues & Roots Festival, Bridgetown Blues Festival and the Big Day Out as well as touring Europe. Salisbury Home plays songs of love and loneliness, rough nights and lost dogs, and hope found in the bottom of the garden, build this indie-folk set, inspired by the Decemberists, Iron and Wine and The Tallest Man on Earth.

‘As always we are also looking for up and coming artists to do a few numbers for the audience’, Keith added.

Please note the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club is hosting the Perth Folk and Roots Club as a free event for its members and guests with memberships offered at a very reasonable cost to Perth Folk and Roots Club supporters.
