This course is for those looking for creative approaches to photographing in the landscape and are eager to experiment and develop their own visual language.
Over 3 days participants will develop an understanding of lighting conditions including shooting in low light and implications for exposure.

The first day will introduce participants to a number of approaches and techniques for developing a cohesive series. The second session will have participants explore creative approaches and apply their new-found skills in the majestic backdrop of the Blue Mountains including shooting on both digital and analogue formats, with the final session will consisting of a review and discussion of the outcomes from this shoot and areas for further improvement.

Join acclaimed artist Kurt Sorensen for this practical course exploring the technical theories and creative approaches to photographing in the landscape.

Drawing on the work of photographers such as Ansel Adams and Sally Mann, participants will focus on expanding their understanding of landscape photography to learn about concept development and composition, and how images relate as part of a series.

This course runs over three consecutive Saturdays with a maximum class size of 8 participants. Camera craft 2 or relevant experience is necessary for this course.
