HOTA hosts a supa-charged day of esports and Asia pop culture—a celebration of gaming, music, film and more—the first of its kind on the Gold Coast! Join our host, The Lyrical (Game Train podcast) and Andy Trieu (SBS PopAsia) in an afternoon of non-stop fun.

Across a big day out, you’re invited to battle elite esport gamers Gaku Space, Tequila and QO in spectacular style across select games such as Overwatch and Dota. Or take on friends and foes alike at one of our freeplay stations including Nintendo favourites Super Smash Bros, Overcooked, Mario Kart and Ultimate Chicken Horse .

From our Outdoor Stage enjoy a diverse line-up of Asia pop music, featuring Filipino-Australian pop singer Chela and the mesmerising Asia Pop Time Machine, and a stellar set from our DJ, Yeo.

If you work up an appetite dancing it out with more than 10 Asia Pop dance crews, be sure to refuel at one of the gourmet food trucks.

Making this year’s event even better, we’ve teamed up with Supanova to make Pop & Play a part of Supanova’s Day Three for free event. Just present your valid Supanova wristband upon entry and enjoy your afternoon.

Presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts and Supanova.

This event is part of the Out Loud Festival.

Free but registrations required.
