Ring in the new year

There’s no better place to spend the last day of the year than Rottnest Island.

Spend a relaxing day soaking up the sun and exploring the pristine beauty of the Island, followed by an afternoon of fun entertainment that the whole family will love.

With celebrations spaced out throughout the Settlement precinct, you can safely ring in the New Year while keeping the whole family entertained.

From 5pm kids can show off their creative skills and build the Island’s best sandcastle or enjoy some beach soccer and giant games. Little and no-so-little kids can have a dance party in the Silent Disco, or jump into the Photo Booth for a celebratory selfie.

Then at 9pm, look skywards towards Thomson Bay for a spectacular fireworks display to send off 2020 and welcome in 2021.

With late evening ferry departures back to Perth, you’ll be able to enjoy all the action, all day before heading home.

COVID Safe Event
This year, we’ve made some changes to ensure the health and safety of all attendees at this event and have developed an in-depth COVID Event Plan in consultation with the WA Department of Health. If you have celebrated with us before, please note that registration is required for this year’s celebration.

To assist with managing the capacity of the event, please ensure you register all members of your family - adults and children - and that every household is registered individually.

Register via https://rottnestisland.com/nye to take part in the free events. Please note ferry travel is not included, so don't forget to book your tickets.
