Simon returns to the Butchers Brew Bar with the band. Welcome in the New Year with the blues.

This bar brings high class jazz, blues and funk to Marrickville Rd six nights a week. Music is the main offering here, with a focus on jazz, Blues and Funk—an intimate bar where you can kick back with friends and dig the Blues music.

"Simon Kinny-Lewis (SKL) is the full package. His guitar playing is up there with the best guitarists of today." - Blues Rock Review 2019

He has performed/recorded with the cream of the crop of Blues, Chris Cain, Nate Ginsberg (Herbie Hancock), Christian Howes (Robben Ford), Simeon Cain (Henry Rollins Band) and many more.

He has produced 6 albums to date with his previous solo album "Catfish" and band album "A Day In San Jose" both reaching # 1 on The Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Charts and was recognised at the official Australian Blues Music Chain’ Awards 2019 as "Best New Blues Artist".

Simon's band is one of Australia's most respected and finest rhythm sections—Tony Boyd (drums)(Josh Smith, Eric Stekles, Kate Lush) and Rob Ewan (Josh Smith, Eric Stekles, Karen Lee Andrews and more).

Not only a dedicated songwriter but a virtuoso on the guitar. Steve Lukather (Guitarist from Toto, Michael Jackson ) comments on Simon Kinny-Lewis's 2016 album "Street Blues": "Great man. Your voice has a little Bonamassa in it…which is cool. Love the tune too. Killer solo!"

Doors from 5pm.
Music from 8 pm.
All proceeds to the band.
