Swan River Ramblers at Jazz Fremantle

Led by bassplayer Pete Jeavons, the Swan River Ramblers (SRR) was formed in 2017 and, true to their name, the group performs mainly in a roving, quartet format aboard the Paddlesteamer Decoy as it cruises the Swan River during WA’s warmer months.

In a rare jaunt away from the decks of the PS Decoy, Sunday December 6th will see the SRR take to the stage at Jazz Fremantle with an expanded line-up featuring new recruits Jeremy Thomson (guitar), and Ben Vanderwal (drums) alongside regular ramblers Adam Hall (trumpet/vocals), Adrian Galante (clarinet) and of course Pete Jeavons (double bass).

The band performs a wide spectrum of music, drawing repertoire from jazz & swing standards, trad jazz classics, bebop, blues, New Orleans style music, gypsy jazz and more. Combining a wealth of performance experience, with instrumental virtuosity and a keen sense of spontaneity the Swan River Ramblers will deliver a great afternoon of musical entertainment that is guaranteed to please.
