That motown sound performed live by dynamic 11-piece R&B band The Milford St. Shakers for one night only at The Ellington Jazz Club, Perth.

The powerful sounds of The Milford St. Shakers have become a firm favourite with Australian audiences of all ages who love to get up and dance to the Motown and Soul music of the 1960s.
This 11-piece high energy R&B dance band will pay tribute to some of the most soulful American music of all time.

Their unique take on classics like ‘Stop! In The Name of Love’, ‘Dancing In The Street‘ and Ain't Too Proud To Beg’ will get you out of your seats and dancing to their groovy beats.

"An evening with the Milford St Shakers involves much more than enjoying the music of one of the state's tightest and most accomplished soul and R&B bands – it's a whole lot of fun." - Peter Hancock | Weekend Notes

Frontwoman Mia Matthiessen and her upbeat, high energy 11-piece band will feature; James Vinciullo on bass, Dominic D'Leno on drums, Imogen Thompson on percussion, Andy Jarvis on guitar, Austin Salisbury on keyboards, Robert Bresland on trumpet, Mark Sprogowski on tenor sax, Jemima Mills on baritone sax and backing vocalists Taonga Thomson-Lawrence and Roera Mako.
As soon as these dapperly clad cats take to the stage their passion for the 1960s is obvious in every single note. The Milford Street Shakers are more than a typical cover band – this enigmatic 11-piece delivers a soul spectacular of epic proportions!
