In the shadow of the spire, tucked away outside behind The Barre, you’ll discover a poorly-kept yet very good secret.

This summer, inspired by Chicago's prohibition era, The Speakeasy at The Barre is shaking up classic prohibition cocktails, sliding local and international beverages across the bar, and tempting you with a mouth-watering menu of both small and large bites. This alfresco setting is the perfect spot for a clandestine encounter or a raucous celebration, so come before or after the performance, or just to simply kick back and enjoy the summer weather.

During prohibition if the door of a restaurant was painted green, it indicated the presence of a speakeasy. Now, hidden in The Barre Backyard, behind the trees and behind the green door you’ll discover The Drifter serving up Australian and international beers. True to its probation era inspiration, some will be served in teapots. Or, for those seeking a specialty cocktail inspired by Chicago, The Dragonfly Cocktail Bar will be offering seven custom-made, discreetly-served cocktails, including 'The Roxie - Herradura Paloma' and 'The Velma - Fords Gin Bramble'.

Whether you're settling in for the long-haul or planning a fast getaway, The Speakeasy at The Barre is the perfect summer destination to enjoy a drink and a delicious menu of oysters, naked fried chicken and American style pizzas.

We look forward to opening the green door to you, step inside The Speakeasy at The Barre. sshhh...tell everyone.
