The Town Festival

The Town is an immersive, theatrical and sustainable festival held in Licola, Victoria’s only privately owned and off the grid Town that is now 90 percent run from solar energy.

Arguably one of Australia’s most unique festivals, The Town creates a mock village with streets and mailboxes throughout the camping, a public transport bike system, a church for fake weddings (and funerals), a courtroom to sue your friends and a 90’s themed prom in the gymnasium. Each of the small properties on site are converted into fake store-fronts that take the format of escape rooms, immersive theatre spaces and themed chill spaces.

This is complimented by a lineup of diverse live bands, live electronica and theatre.

The event boasts a sustainable Town by creating a culture of connection over consumption, selling no disposable products, producing as close to zero waste as possible, and fostering personal responsibility.

The Town welcomes all to feel right at home, and is like no other festival you will experience. The theme this year will be power, and will include a sustainable power station main stage and The Town 2020 elections!

The event is also family friendly and welcomes people from all walks of life.
