True North marks Queensland Day 2020 and recognises the extraordinary value of art and performance in difficult times. Hosted by musical theatre star Amy Lehpamer, this one time only concert features writer/actor/singer Steven Oliver, members of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Camerata and Queensland Ballet, Opera Queensland’s Rosario La Spina and Rebecca Cassidy, Southern Cross Soloists’ Alex Raineri, Irish folk quartet Sasta, musical theatre stars Alex Woodward and Shubshri Kandiah, contemporary music artists Robbie Miller and Tom Thum, the inimitable Katie Noonan, and the QPAC Chamber Choir led by Choirmaster Tim Sherlock. Special messages will be delivered by Queensland Ballet’s Li Cunxin, QPAC Chief Executive John Kotzas, QPAC Elder in Residence Aunty Colleen Wall and Minister for the Arts The Hon Leeanne Enoch MP throughout the concert event.
