Due to COVID-19, Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA have cancelled all face to face service delivery. This includes all exercise classes, the hydrotherapy pool, self-management programmes, support groups, community talks and public seminars.

We are endeavouring to bring these services online. Please check our website for updates: www.arthritiswa.org.au

Update: This program was once only open to people with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. It has been revised and is now open to people with OA of the hip, knee, foot, shoulder, elbow and hand. This six-week program is specifically for people diagnosed with osteoarthritis. It offers a holistic approach providing disease-specific education and self-management techniques and is run by health professionals.

The OA program consists of six weekly, 2.5hour sessions, conducted in a friendly and supportive group atmosphere. Each week different topics will be covered and includes a group discussion. Participants are encouraged to attend all six weeks to gain the most benefit from the program.

Topics include:
- What is osteoarthritis?
- How to exercise correctly.
- Pain management strategies.
- Medications and their side effects.
- Nutrition and healthy eating.
- Emotions and arthritis.
- Fatigue, relaxation techniques and much more…
