After spending a year working on new material and playing a multitude of QLD shows (including the Brisbane leg of Good Things Festival, Rockhampton’s Heckfest and supporting multiple QLD dates with The Bennies) – Brissie-based Alternative Pop-Punkers Walken are getting back in the saddle with their first full Australian tour in nearly two years.

In January and February of 2020, the three best buds will be heading to Port Macquarie, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Maroochydore and Brisbane to support the release of their first new material since the What’s Your Environment? EP (released in December 2017), which was led by the lead single ‘Unomi’.

"With "Unomi"—the lead from What’s Your Environment?—the Brisbane pop-punk trio serve us heartbreak and nostalgic regret, alongside a significant straightening-up of their scruffy punk edge, as vulnerability, gentle keys and rock crescendo’s replace their previous party-til-ya-puke mix of smirk ‘n’ snarl." - Rolling Stone Australia

"Great track, loved easing into it and that breakdown was perfect. Quite spectacular, really." - Bridget Hustwaite, Triple J

The upcoming Regular Human People Tour will see WALKEN embark on a mixture of support slots (Dopamine – Gold Coast & Ali Barter – Wollongong), mini festivals (Hot Tropics #4 - Port Macquarie and Hottest 100 Countdown Party - Newcastle) and their own headline dates (Melbourne, Sydney, Maroochydore and Brisbane). For the shows, they’ll be road-testing a heap of new tunes from their upcoming standalone singles and eventual album material (before heading into the studio to record their debut album in late 2020).

Joining the band on their free Maroochydore show will be Perve Endings, June & Wetlands, so if you want to catch a bunch of great mates ripping through new tracks in an intimate setting, this is the perfect time for you to do it.
