Women United – Exhibition Opening

Images of women marching, calling out injustice and inequality, provoked a photographic response from local artist, Charmaine Lyons. In a portraiture gallery of two hundred extraordinary/ordinary women, Charmaine captures the essence and the voice of each subject as Women United. With diverse images of women in their own spaces, we are challenged to reflect on and respond to, the embodied story in each portrait. Supported by Gympie & Districts Community Bank, Ilford Papers, Living Image Fine Art Printing and WINDO.

Opening conjunction with 'Lace' by Brisbane based artist Mary Barron, and 'Constellations' by local photographer Jazmyn Browman and mentor Donna Maree Robinson.
