Enjoy a night of Professional Live Stand Up Comedy at The Sit Down Comedy Club!

Hosted by Emma Zammit, on Saturday 17th April our headliners will be Andy Thompson & Jacques Barrett!

Andy Thompson is a seasoned stand-up veteran having cut his teeth on the flourishing Brisbane comedy circuit where he quickly established himself as a consistent and confident performer and a lively storyteller. Andy is a regular panellist on ABC Radio Brisbane, had a sold-out run at Brisbane Funny Fest and was a state finalist in the Triple J Raw Comedy Competition and the Nova FM “R U Fresh Comedy Competition” where he, although placing in the top five, was chastised by the organisers for his exuberant sweating and the liberal use of the word “pineapples.”

After 12 years on the world’s comedy and festival circuit Jacques Barrett has cemented his position as a bona-fide international headliner. A quiet achiever, ever the underdog, known for his ability to throw relentless comedy blows. Weaving characters and impressions into barbed social commentary, showing the lighter side of much darker subject matter and leaving audiences thinking and laughing long after the curtains have closed.

“Pretty damn impressive” - Timeout

“Impeccable comic timing and an endearing quality that only few comics possess” - West Australian
