There is darkness and light to the “antipodean” experience. We are nations of Indigeneity, colonialism, immigration and joyous pluralism. This has given rise to musical voices as diverse and varied as our backgrounds and experiences. Australia and NZ in Focus is a celebration of the many threads that form the rich tapestry of new music in these two countries.

The event will feature a new commission from Micah Thompson (NZ), as well as works by Liza Lim, Brett Dean, Richard Meale and Dylan Lardelli.

A small portion of revenue from ticket sales will be donated to offset the carbon footprint of this event.
