Immerse yourself in local bush tucker and tree identification with Russell Bennet, who will conduct a hands on walk through the Amamoor National Park. Russell, a Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka, Kulilli man has lived and worked in Gympie all his life and has developed his own cultural and environmental programs to engage people in conservation of our native plants and animals, and caring for Country.

Park your car at the Amama Day Use area. The walk will take place on the Amama Walking Track.

Held in conjunction with the exhibition 'Songlines: Lines of Connecting, Dreaming and Remembering.' Curated by Melissa Stannard. Supported by Creative Arts Alliance.

Part of 'Connecting Stories', a first of its kind cross-regional project showcasing First Nations art and culture through exhibitions, public art trails, tours, workshops, artist talks and events across six local governments within the SEQ North region. 'Connecting Stories' has been developed through a partnership between Creative Arts Alliance as part of the Regional Arts Services Network, Blaklash Creative and members of the SEQN Galleries Network - Gympie Regional Art Gallery, Noosa Regional Gallery, Caloundra Regional Gallery, USC Art Gallery, Moreton Bay Regional Galleries, The Condensery: Somerset Regional Art Gallery and Redland Art Gallery.
