Chinese Lantern Festival – free fun for the whole family!

In Chinese culture, the Lantern Festival marks the formal end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. In 2021 the ACT Branch of the Australia China Friendship Society will hold the Lantern Festival on Saturday 27 February 2021, from 6 – 8.30 pm at the Beijing Garden, Flynn Drive, Yarralumla ACT.
There will be performances of Chinese music, dancing, and martial arts. The festivities will conclude with a Lantern Parade, always a highlight for children.

Bring a picnic and rug and enjoy a family evening by Lake Burley Griffin. Water and lanterns will be available for purchase. In case of rain the Festival will be cancelled – please check our website (www.acfs.org.au) on the day.
