Part of Gympie Regional Council
Coptic binding is one of the oldest forms of bookbinding we know, dating from about the fourth century AD.
During this two day workshop, with renowned book artist Adele Outerridge, you will explore a decorative variation of Coptic binding called Celtic Weave, devised by book artist extraordinaire Keith Smith (www.keithsmithbooks.com).
Celtic Weave produces a very attractive exposed lattice-like binding across an open spine.
Each participant will produce one small hard covered book.
Optional wooden covers will be available.
Bookings essential with limited numbers.
