Join us for a thrilling evening of live music, in the uniquely intimate setting of the Simply for Strings Old Church. A powerful journey through a kaleidoscope of emotion, Schubert’s String Quartet No. 14, “Death and the Maiden” is regarded as one of the pillars of the chamber music repertoire for good reason. Luckily, as four of Australia’s most exciting performers, Courtenay Cleary, Samuel Andrews, Nicole Greentree and Louise King are more than a match for this captivating masterpiece.

Beginning with lush romanticism from Rebecca Clarke, musical architecture from Iannis Xenakis and Darius Mihauld’s atmospheric Duo for Two Violins Op. 258, the evening will be bookended by wine, cheese and good company on the Simply for Strings terrace, with views across the Brisbane skyline.

A new concert residency at Simply for Strings featuring acclaimed violin soloist Courtenay Cleary, our last Courtenay & friends concert sold out in record time, and tickets are strictly limited for this intimate event, so book now to avoid missing out!
