It’s time to Discover Sharklife at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium! During the summer school holidays, guests will have the opportunity to sink their teeth into the world of these magnificent but often-misunderstood sea creatures.

From 11 December – 24 January, visitors can discover all there is to know about the 11 different shark species at the Aquarium through a range of activities focusing on myth-busting, conservation and fun facts!

Kids will receive a Discover Sharklife activity booklet on arrival and can take part in a number of interactive activities as they venture below the surface to get up close with Grey Nurse, Grey Reef and Wobbegong sharks, and many more aquatic creatures!

Each day of the school holidays, one of SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast’s resident shark experts will be chatting with guests about all things shark-related at our artefacts table in the Ocean Tunnel. The experts will be on hand to answer questions, showcase their scuba diving gear and educate people about these incredible sea creatures.

Visitors aged 14+ can take their jawsome day out to the next level, by venturing into the water for SEA LIFE Sunshine Coasts’s exhilarating Shark Dive Xtreme experience. The cageless diving adventure is available to people with zero diving experience and guarantees an underwater encounter with sharks!

Discover Sharklife is a celebration of sharks and the essential role they play in our ecosystem. SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast wants to give people the opportunity to learn more about these marine creatures, which are often misunderstood and are under threat from overfishing, the demand for shark products and habitat destruction.

SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is open 7 days per week during the Queensland school holidays. All visitors must pre-book their tickets online in advance.

Hours: 8:00am – 4pm (last entry 3pm)

Sunshine Coast is open 7 days a week during the Queensland school holidays. All visitors must pre-book their tickets online in advance and guests over 12 years of age must show their proof of double vaccination.
