The Australian Plangon (Antique & Modern Doll Collectors’) Club Inc would like to invite you to attend its annual Dolls, Bears, Toys & Collectables Exhibition.

This exhibition is one of South Australia’s History Festival events and is also advertised on South Australia’s History Festival website (https://festival.history.sa.gov.au/events/history-through-dolls-dolls-bears-toys-collectables-exhibition/).

Dolls have always played an important part in childhood. They also represent the change in fashions and accessories throughout history. Visitors will be able to see antique, vintage and modern dolls from members' collections displayed in a variety of settings, as well as vintage and modern teddy bears, toys, collectables and memorabilia from the past.

In addition, in association with the History Month theme, visitors will be able to view a special display of five double-sided interactive pull-up banners, entitled “Once upon a Time” on loan from the History Trust Of SA. These offer a glimpse into the lives of children living in South Australia over successive generations, in both happy and more challenging times.

Trading tables will include a variety of dolls, collectables and other items for sale.

There will be an opportunity to pick up a bargain from the trash and treasure stall, which will sell donated items.

Raffle tickets for sale will allow lucky visitors to win one of five great prizes.

All proceeds from the entrance fees, raffle and the trash and treasure stall will be donated to the Genesis Pregnancy Support Inc who will be providing light refreshments at the event.

Some images of past exhibitions are included.

For further information please ring Jeanette on 8258 9295 or 0407 800 460.
