Goddess Grooves @ Chapel presents Love Rewind

Goddess Grooves is both a showcase and a celebration of some of our community’s finest singer/songwriter musicians brought together in one evening of scintillating musical entertainment. This year, at Chapel off Chapel, Goddess Grooves presents another unique line-up of artists, while simultaneously introducing another local artistic endeavour by Melbourne filmmakers, Demetra Giannakopoulos, Vicki Jones and Ruth Katerelos.

Love Rewind tells the story of Penny who wants to revive the love in her long-term relationship with Althea, but when Althea suffers a stroke and her hidden affair is revealed, Penny is forced to discover what true love means to her. Love Rewind is a new independent feature film made in Melbourne and set against the back-drop of the same-sex marriage postal vote. As its soundtrack, Love Rewind features the music of Michelle Chandler, Jo Jo Smith and Michelle Parsons, among others.

Enjoy the smooth and sultry tones of Michelle Chandler, the incredible unique vocals and songwriting of Jo Jo Smith, the gutsy vocals and passionate performance of Michelle Parsons, and surprise guests, on stage together, on one night only, and be treated to a sneak preview of Love Rewind, the film, its music and it’s beginnings.
