QPAC presents the Musical Theatre students of Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in Grease

Take a trip down memory lane with Rydell High’s class of ’59 for this special performance of the iconic musical Grease, performed by Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Relive the classic story of Danny, Sandy, the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies as they navigate the trials and tribulations of teenage life, love and leather jackets. Set to one of the most enduring, electrifying soundtracks in theatre history, these shows promise to be a rock ‘n’ rollicking good time for musical fans of all flavours.

Featuring the play from the original Broadway musical, and all your favourite songs including ”You’re the One That I Want”, ”Grease Is the Word”, ”Summer Nights”, ”Hopelessly Devoted to You”, and ”Greased Lightnin”, this is your opportunity to experience the Queensland Conservatorium musical theatre students as they bring their energy and passion to this electrifying musical classic.

Grease is a beloved hit that has transcended generation after generation. This legacy may very well be attributed to its incredible songs and hit-movie spin off, but it's due to something deeper, something beating at the very heart of every part of the script - its anarchic and rebellious attitude. Grease is a musical comedy satire that challenges social rules and the generational gap by interrogating teen sexuality and gender equality through the eyes of the 1950s teenager. In this production, expect everything you love about Grease and more, with some unique changes that bring it very much into 2021.
