Hope Estate has partnered up with the creators of the hugely popular Greek Festival of Sydney Darling Harbour to bring a brand-new Mediterranean experience to the Hunter Valley. Join us for ‘Greek Fest in the Hunter’ presented by Delphi Bank: A truly authentic celebration of Greek culture, music, food, and drink. An incredible full day line-up of entertainment including national dancing troupes, Greek bands plus, direct from Greece, the amazing Dimitris Basis, set to be the highlight! Patrons can enjoy an Ouzo tasting & wine tasting included in every adult General Admission ticket, all set to the backdrop of Hope Estate’s stunning vineyards in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley.

Sweet honeyed loukoumades, mouth-watering souvlaki, creamy feta, sublime olives, juicy Yeeros, savoury spanakopita, and rich Greek coffee will start to flavour the food celebration. A fantastic selection of your favourite Food Vendors from the Darling Harbour Greek Festival of Sydney, including event sponsors Defi II and Big Fat Greek, will be attending to offer a wide range of lunch plates to enjoy. Looking for something a bit extra, perhaps treat yourself to one of Hope Estate’s lunch experiences with the VIP Greek Fest Lunch or Hamper Picnic for 2. With demonstrations, Kids Zone, Boutique Markets, a range of Hope Brewery Beers to try it’s going to be a great day out for all ages!

Michael Hope said, “I really enjoyed what the Greek Festival of Sydney team do in Darling Harbour and we were so excited to be helping them to grow the reach of this great culture, music and arts festival. It is such a privilege to be getting ready to welcome the Sydney Greek Community and the Newcastle Greek Community to come together for what’s set to be a pretty great party!

Pamela Proestos, the Director of Greek Festival of Sydney and representative for the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW said, “We’re so excited to give the people of the Hunter a taste of what Sydneysiders have been enjoying for decades. Being able to offer an event that is so distinctly Greek allows us to promote our food, music and culture to a much wider audience and form a connection between the Sydney and Newcastle communities. We can’t wait to celebrate with wine and ouzo (in moderation!) and see Greek dancing, local musicians and international artist Dimitris Basis on the Hope Estate stage.”

Hope Estate is located in Pokolbin, NSW just two hours from Sydney and an hour from Newcastle. Free parking will be available onsite at the festival for those who would like to drive. For those looking to travel for just the day, return bus trips can be purchased with event partner Kingsford Smith Transport. May is a great time to holiday in the Hunter Valley, so you might also consider making a weekend of it by booking one of the local accommodation options and a local return bus trip with event partner Rover Coaches.

For first access to tickets, Pre-sale registration commences Monday 22nd February 2021 3 pm. Visit the Hope Estate Winery official website to register. Pre-sale tickets on sale will commence Thursday 25th February 2021 10 am via an emailed link for those who have pre-registered and Hope Estate Members.
