Simon Harriot
Simon Harriot uses colour and abstract expressionism to document the landscape of the
northern rivers. The common thread that connects all his paintings is a strong and intense colour
palette used to analyse and gain an alternative appreciation of the natural beauty of the landscape.
His work is connected through colour using harmonious or discordant palettes into layers or blocks of
colour and transposes the elements of the environment onto canvas, with vitality and rhythm.
Karena Wynn-Moylan
Karena Wynn-Moylan is an award-winning artist whose career has spanned a range of media and a
wide variety of subjects. Each week she produces and presents the popular Arts Canvass show on
Bay FM 99.9 and is also a noted composer and songwriter. Equally adept at watercolour, oils or
acrylics her beautiful draughtsmanship shines through all her subjects. She is currently preparing
her 14 th solo show for the future, but in the meantime has been busy on a range of side projects to
do with food, flowers and Farmer’s Markets which can be seen at this exhibition.
