Adelaide's biggest yearly event is nearly here, the Adelaide Fringe. Some of the top Comedians featuring in this years festival are putting on a show a week early! This is a comedy for a cause event!
The headline act, Chris Franklin, is famous for his hit song of 2000, "Bloke". This song reached Number 1 on the Australian charts and was nominated for two Aria awards. The MC is host of the incredibly successful worldwide festival comedy venue "Phat Cave", Mickey D.
The list of credits between these two is truly remarkable. Their Radio & Television Appearances, Musical Comedy success (Chris Franklin), Global Touring, Holding a Comedy Show on Mt Everest (Mickey D), & Charity Work, already leave a truly remarkable legacy from their entertainment careers.
The proceeds from ticket sales will go to the various recovery funds established to aid in the bounce-back of Kangaroo Island. The "pearl in South Australia's crown has been hit hard twice over the last year, first by fires that destroyed a large part of the western end, and then its tourism industry hit for six by the global pandemic.
The show also features Adelaide Fringe veterans, Kel Balnaves and Granny Flaps (Adelaide comedian Lori Bell), plus Michael Connell from Victoria. It's the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day eve, whilst also supporting a really great cause.
