Lawley Art Auction is thrilled to be able to be back for 2021. After the unfortunate hiatus in 2020, we look forward to hosting a diverse and eclectic display of stunning art created by over 100 talented Western Australian Artists.

From celebrated and renowned artists, like Pippin Drysdale, Miik Green, Debra Bonar, William Stransky and many more, to the very best from WA’s emerging artists, you’ll have the opportunity to take home something of outstanding quality. From ceramics, glasswork, photography, drawing and mixed media, to textile, sculpture, acrylics, oils, and watercolours, we have something for everyone.
Based in the Senior School building of Mount Lawley Senior High School, doors open at 5pm, where the unique and beautiful pieces can be viewed before the hammer goes down at 7pm. The art will be accompanied by live music from our talented Music students and canapes, and drinks available from our bar.

In addition to the live auction, our Irving Gallery will be privileged to host artwork for direct sale. The Irving Gallery was established in 2017 to honour Dr. Dale Irving, who was the founder and driving force behind the creation of the Specialist Visual and Performing Arts (SVAPA) Program at Mt Lawley Senior High School. SVAPA fosters creativity in students who thrive across all areas of the arts. Primary school students who are talented in the areas of Music, Visual Art, and Drama are all encouraged to audition for this unique middle school program.

In its 19th year, the Lawley Art Auction is the major fundraising event for the Arts programs at MLSHS: SVAPA and Music. Funds raised are used to provide these artists of tomorrow with the opportunity for before-school workshops, in-house artist residencies, state-of-the-art musical instruments, stage equipment, and access to performing arts expertise.

These students of the Arts are commended for their key role in enabling the success of the Lawley Art Auction through their enthusiastic volunteer work, ably assisted by parents and staff of MLSHS.
To whet your appetite, a preview of artworks in this year’s Lawley Art Auction is available on our website from June 1st.

We urge you to take a look and dare to fall in love with your favourites.
