Leclair’s Sonata for Two Violins in A Major contains all the expressiveness you’d expect from the founder of the French school of violin, while Prokofiev’s Op. 56 flaunts bold contrasts – lyrical one moment, acerbic the next. Bach’s Double Concerto is a masterful example of music from the late Baroque period.
