Mixed Media Workshop

Learn the design principles and techniques of mixed media art with Tricia Reust.

You will work on two gessoed canvases and cover basic design principles; collage and texture the canvas surfaces on the first day, and complete the works with paint and/or dry drawing media. Drawings can be incorporated in with the collage and/or drawn directly on to the canvas.

You will complete one smaller work with a minimal approach, and the other larger work incorporating all the techniques to be covered, including glazing, printing, stenciling and stamping.

Tricia Reust is a visual artist working in most media; member of several art societies; many awards include National Mortimore Prize in 2012; 2nd Prize and Honourable Mention in the 10th International Drawing Biennale; recorded two episodes on “Colour in Your Life”; published two books and has recorded several instructional videos. Many of these are available on Youtube.
