Nadira & Friends, backed by some of Melbourne's hottest jazz musicians, will be paying homage to The Great Ladies of Jazz! Performing well-loved songs made famous by Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O’Day, Ella Fitzgerald and more. Musicians will be announced closer to the date, just to keep you on your toes.

Nadira, currently based in Hobart, isn’t your ordinary jazz vocalist! Anyone who has been to her shows will know that she is petite yet commanding, with a punk-ish attitude and comedic onstage banter that will have you laughing, get your feet tapping when she sings the swingin’ tunes or make you cry when she authentically delivers powerful ballads. She leads a jazz ensemble called Nadira & Friends. Recently they released a tribute album to Nancy Wilson/Cannonball Adderley titled 'Dare to Dream', featuring James Sherlock and Nick Haywood and started performing as a 12-piece band, showcasing a stellar line up of Tasmanian musicians.
