Picnic Social Mardi Gras Encore w/ Stereogamous, Ayebatonye

Picnic is hosting a Mardi Gras encore! The parade might be over but we’re still flying the flags of love down at Opera Bar for a very special edition of weekly Sunday hangout Picnic Social, running from the usual time of 3 PM to 10 PM.

Topping the bill are Stereogamous, AKA the inimitable Paul Mac and Australia’s #1 hugger Jonny Seymour, who will be performing with Western Sydney vocalist/dancer/artist/powerhouse Jamaica. They’ll be joined by one of the city’s brightest emerging stars, Ayabatonye, the kaleidoscopically colourful MC Gaff-E, queer community leader and tastemaker Kelly Lovemonster, and Fijian performance art queen Stelly G.

Art for Picnic Social comes from the incomparable Sydney via Venezuelan artist Nadia Hernández. Her visual arts practice is informed specifically by the current political climate of her home country and her diasporic experience as a Venezuelan woman living abroad. Accompanying the original design for Picnic Social is a 3D treatment from one of our favourite multifaceted talents Mikaela Stafford.
