Yes Yes Ya'll, we are set to bring you that much-needed winter heat and get them limbs moving at The Night Cat with supports from rap phenomenon Tumi The Be, soulful, R&B rendition from Z-Retro and Erin Buku to ease you into the night, and DJ- Inkswel on the Ones & twos keeping you in check on the dance floor.

Doors 8pm - 12 get in early peeps.

Tumi The Be
Motswana poet and rapper Tumi The Be pairs old school beats with thought-provoking lyrics. Inspired by the likes of Andre 3000, One Sixth, Kendrick Lamar, and Gil Scott Heron, Tumi The Be makes music with a purpose. Acknowledging the fight of those that came before him, Tumi recognizes the privilege that comes with freedom of speech, so uses this to his advantage to add something constructive, positive, and reflective to the world.

Z - Retro
A never heard before fusion of RnB, hip hop, soul, and funk makes up the new and electric Z-Retro show. Led by the Zimbabwean-born vocalist Zima Locke, he brings to the stage an incomparable delivery showcasing his early background in gospel music and his newfound love for being an MC. Producer 2ND THOUGHT and collaborator Horatio Luna have come together for an unmatched sound and chemistry for Zima to execute his smooth vocals and intricate rhyme schemes.

Erin Buku
Erin Buku is a new force in female-led neo-soul. No stranger to collaboration as part of her previous group Planetself she has worked with the likes of Metro Area, Illa J, Mista Monk, First Touch, Lance Ferguson of the bamboos, Show & AG, Ras G, and John Robinson, and many more. Playing shows at Hip Hop Kemp festival in the Czech Republic and headlining the Adelaide festival at the new arts hub “The Lab”.

We acknowledge that this event is taking place on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation over which sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.
