A grand symphony, Czech rhapsodies and a dazzling concerto.

Johannes Fritzsch, Principal Guest Conductor of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, makes a much-anticipated return to WASO with Mozart’s grand Haffner symphony. Then, Perth’s own ‘Rock Star of the Clarinet’ Ashley Smith unleashes his talent in Weber’s ever-popular concerto. The evocative symphonic paintings: Janaček’s Taras Bulba depicts the story of the ‘free man’ in an adventurous 19th-century novel, and Smetana’s heartfelt ode to his beloved Czech homeland will have you humming as you leave.
