That’s Amore Cheese Olive Oil Festival

That’s Amore Cheese is partnering with Kyneton Olive Oil to throw a Sunday fiesta ‘Olive Oil Festival - Sagra Dell'Olio Nuovo’ in celebration of the 2021 Olio Nuovo release at That’s Amore Cheese in Thomastown on Sunday 2nd May.

Olio Nuovo is the first pressed extra virgin olive oil from the initial olives harvested at the start of a season. Picked, cold extracted and bottled immediately, it is the freshest olive oil you can get!

Guests can meet the producer from Kyneton Olive Oil, taste different types of olive oil, and learn how it is made while watching live production on-site.

The first 20L of Olio Nuovo will be auctioned on the day and the proceeds will be donated to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre.

A special menu of dishes will feature That's Amore Cheeses and Kyneton Olive Oil, including the popular That’s Amore Cheese ‘4 Formaggi Gnocchi’, which is tossed in a 40Kg Cheese wheel.

There will be a cannoli cart by Cannoleria, plenty of cheese, drinks, cocktails, and a marketplace with local producers including Imbue Distillery, Lello Pasta, Il Baronello, Vinofoods, Wheelers Hill Soaps and Moko Designs. Live Italian music by Siesta Cartel will entertain.

The Olive Oil Festival will be a fun and casual Sunday fiesta, celebrating the first of the new season olive oil and is a must-go event for all food lovers.

The event will be ticketed, with two types of tickets available:
- General admission - includes admission and one dish
- Olive Oil Lover Pack - includes entry and a serve of gnocchi, pasta e fagioli, Italian sausage, 1 focaccia and 1 cannolo.
