The Durham Project are 5 Music Professionals with a history of A&R & Production in contemporary Australian music history. Their first release "The DP" EP out on the legendary Big Rock label; an acoustic-based album is completed and ready for release on Big Rock Records and the finishing touches to a track for the Big Rock Records 40th anniversary album
Phill Simmons (Shute); guitar and vocals-
As a manager, promoter, agent and A & R manager Phil nurtured some of the greats of Australian music including Cold Chisel, Jeff St John, The Angels, TMG, Ayers Rock
Alan (Blackie) Blackburn; keyboards:
Al started his career in New Zealand in various cover bands alongside Dragon, & featured on the iconic Alberts 'Canned Rock' album with Rose Tattoo, The Reels, Kevin Borich Express
Pedro Mello; drums, percussion and vocals
He played with Latin Artists
Simone Caymmi, Tunai, Raimundo Costa, Rosanna & performed regularly in recording sessions for the biggest national TV system in Brazil called “Rede Globo”
Ross Johnston; bass and vocals
Ross has performed with 'Asleep at the Wheel', supporting Elton John in Concert & worked with the international Abba tribute show "Bjorn Again" touring on the East Coast of Australia
Joey Degiorgio (Joey D); guitar and vocals
Joey has worked on P&O & Princess Cruise Liners throughout Europe and America. Joey owned and managed Canterbury Recording Studios in Sydney
