Join Tjaka for a hometown launch party at their local Banyo Rugby League Club! Drinks are cheap, the lineup is hot, and there’s even gonna be a food truck. Defs don’t wanna miss this one hey!

In a special announcement, Tjaka will be supported by their father and ground-breaking Didjeribone and Facebass player, Tjupurru. Rounding out the trio is legendary wordsmith and rapper Ethan Enoch who will be proving his lyrical mastery.

Proud descendants of the Djabera Djabera tribe in the Western Australian Kimberley, Tjaka use the Didjeribone (a slide Didgeridoo) and the Facebass (a seismic microphone placed inside the mouth), blending them with electric guitar, fiery vocals and looped programming to drive audiences to their feet. FIYA’ acts as the perfect kindling for the heat that Tjaka will be bringing to their live show and future releases!

Tjaka would not exist without Tjupurru, Geoff and Jake's father, who will be performing for the first time after a lengthy haitus. Experience the beautiful evolution of sound from pioneer father to boundary-pushing sons in this incredibly special family event. Joining Tjupurru will be a number of world-class musicians, whose worldly sounds will delight and fascinate as they are created right on stage!

First up is performance maestro Ethan, who deftly weaves deep knowledge and wisdom into his rapping and poetry. Through performance, Ethan tells stories that are important to the audience and to himself.

This all-star cast of local First Nations artists connect to their Indigenous roots through their use of ancient sounds and traditional techniques, paying respect to those that have paved the way before them while bringing a contemporary experience through the use of modern instrumentation and influences.
