A fern breaks an aloe vera’s heart. A monstera gets loose on a night out. A tiny cactus dreams of a better tomorrow.

This is a show about pot plants. Just imagine actual pot plants on stage. Not pretend ones. Real ones - with hot bodies and great personalities. Doesn’t that sound like a very nice night out at the theatre under stage two restrictions? Yeah, that’s right. You’re so desperate to get out of the house you’ll come see anything. Even pot plants on stage.

Born from this strange sociopolitical moment, POT PLANTS plays with and attempts to speak to the uncanny environment we now find ourselves in. Maybe pot plants have a lot more going on than we give them credit for?

From award-winning theatre makers Karla Livingstone-Pardy (who has a thriving collection of indoor plants) and Zachary Sheridan (who killed his housemate’s ctenanthe while she was in Adelaide. She still doesn’t know).
