2022 David Parkin Oration

The annual Oration honours the significant contribution of Dr David Parkin OAM in leadership, sport and education. It promotes the advancement of public knowledge by exploring the challenges and opportunities for sport to act as a driver of social change.

This year’s Oration 'You can't be what you can't see' will be delivered by five-time All Australian and captain of the AFLW Kangaroos, Emma Kearney, in conversation with former AFL player and current AFLW coach Daniel Harford.

The growth of AFLW has been a significant positive disruption to football. Emma Kearney’s inspiring journey and her strong leadership have fostered the growth of women’s football and driven a greater appreciation of equality, inclusion and diversity in the game.

The David Parkin Oration will be available to attend in-person and online and is a free event open to the public.
