Lind Lane Theatre

It's a super exciting time for Lind Lane Theatre of 16 Mitchell St Nambour, to finally get this event on stage!

So glad we can now invite you to what we attempted to put on as our first season of 2022!

LIFE AND DEATH at The Lind. Four completely different stories, with the same thread connecting the theme for the evening. From Dramas to black comedy...

THE CAGEBIRDS
By David Campton, directed by Judith Boyd
Cagebirds is the allegorical story of what happens when routine is shattered and the outside world demands that a decision must be made. In this extraordinary play, a "room" and a "cage" and "people" and "captive birds" all become confused until a dramatic climax in which we suddenly see reality. Performed in preparation for The Youth Festival Entry a few weeks later.

BIRDBATH by Leonard Melfi directed by Candido Minniti
An unsuccessful poet meets a girl while they are both working at a cafe. He convinces her to come to his place, and entices her to drink a little. While trying to seduce her in the mildest manner possible,. she resists in the most devastating way imaginable, turning the evening into a nightmare for both. It is a boy meets girl love story unlike any other- drama.

ALI by Daniel Keene directed by Lua Bruckoff
Ali, a young refugee goes missing at his school after his visa is rejected. Three teachers wait to be questioned by police. Will Ali be deported? Did the teachers help him escape? -A purposeful and contemplative drama.

TIME OUT by Judith Boyd directed by Britt Love
Donna, a petty thief finds her life turning upside down, when she goes to do her community service. Why is she allowed inside the house? Where is Mrs B? Why is Mr B acting so strangely? All will be revealed in this black comedy

M Rating.
With 3 excited new directors to The Lind, who are developing their plays, it will be time to plan your seats and see what this is all about? Isn't that what we need to do in LIFE... plan for some fun?
