The Science of Sound:
Sound therapy is the concept of becoming immersed in deeply relaxing sounds which, through vibrational frequency, allows the body to switch to its parasympathetic nervous system. This gives the body permission to rest and restore – something that we unfortunately have forgotten the importance of in our busy culture. Allowing the body a moment of stillness, away from the stresses of everyday life, is a deeply nourishing practice. Sound therapy has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve breathing and circulation, alleviate aches and pains, and strengthen the immune system.

The crystal singing bowls used by Courtney are tuned to vibrational frequencies that allow you to drop quickly into a deeply relaxed state. These beautiful, clear sounds coupled with other healing instruments are an immersive, calming experience.

After the sound immersion, enjoy a grounding tea and group reflection (sharing is always optional).
