Spring in Parks with a Family Nature Day

The WA Parks Foundation’s popular Spring into Parks campaign is back with treks, tours, events and activities for everyone to connect with Western Australia's spectacular parks and natural areas to enjoy the health and wellness benefits that come from spending time outside.

Running from September to November, it features over 350 activities and includes a Memorable Moments in Nature Photographic Competition in October with top prizes from RAC Parks & Resorts, the Matagarup Zip and Climb, Camera Electronic, Two Feet and a Heartbeat, Mindful in Nature, and Naturally WA - Parks and Wildlife Services.

Featured Event: Family Nature day. Spend a relaxing afternoon with family and friends, surrounded by the natural wonder and beauty of Herdsman Lake in Wembley.

This popular monthly event features aquatic net scooping, guided nature walks and nature craft activities, and often includes special extras such as storytelling, book launches, games and more.
Explore the discovery centre and its live animal exhibits and interactive displays, and grab something special from the gift shop and a barista coffee window. Family Nature Days are the perfect way to round out your weekend!
