St Kilda Festival (SKF), is returning on 5 – 13 February, spread over nine days to allow for a COVID-safe approach, while continuing the focus on some of the nation’s best musicians over multiple stages as well as satellite activations and online events. Presented by City of Port Phillip, the Festival will take place on the St Kilda Foreshore and surrounds, activating specific St Kilda precincts with an eclectic array of programming.

Some highlights include: Daryl Braithwaite, Gordi, Barkaa, Baker Boy, Kee’ahn, KYE, The Lazy Eyes, and more than 50 additional acts, there's bound to be someone you love! We encourage you to check out someone new, too.

SKF is also proud to incorporate the Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee: First People’s Arts and Culture showcase, taking place on Saturday 12th February at South Beach Reserve. Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee has a long and proud history spanning over 20 years in St Kilda. The 2022 program is proud to present a mix of long-established artists, beautifully complimented by the next generation of young and emerging First People’s musical talent.

Returning for 2022 is the highly-regarded New Music Competition which recognises the importance of promoting opportunities for emerging musicians. This year the competition will be run online with the performances available for the public to view and vote for on the Festival website and screened onsite at the Festival. The crowd favourite will take home a $5,000 cash prize, as well as an invitation to perform at the SKF Main Stage in 2023.

St Kilda Festival’s diverse program features live Australian music, dance performances, workshops, sports demonstrations, community group activities, food and market stalls, extended business trading, roving entertainment, street performers and a dedicated family-friendly stage.

FREE and fully accessible. All ages welcome.
