M@SM presents
Szikrabab & Spectral Gates - Double Bill

Electronica - raw Guitars - screened projections - extensive airplay and streaming on FBi radio - a Pastiche of performance Art & New Wave

3 course Asian Fusion-Tapas and two live sets. 6 mins north over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

SZIKRABAB's Eastern European roots absorb characteristic harmonies and rhythms, anchoring the band to electronic beats, raw guitars and drums oscillating between dense layers and droning minimalism, fused with projected visuals.

They started playing live shows at small local venues in 2020, and since 2018, it has released seven singles carrying twelve songs, with a debut album in the works.

Eduardo Guerra - live drums
Tamás Molnár - guitars, sequencer, drums programming, keys

Sydney-based two-piece SPECTRAL GATES trace a line from noisy post-rock to energetic dubby electro.

Their debut album, released in March 2020, was the product of a single improvised session which explored sounds from dark post-rock to sharp electronica, and lead track 's9c28' received extensive airplay and streaming on FBi radio.

Follow-up 'Holocene', one of three full-length albums recorded during lockdown in 2020, was heavily streamed on Spotify post-rock playlists. Third album 'Lunar', released March 2021, digs away from the harsher rock sounds and deeper into kinetic, dubby electronica.

Don't miss this opportunity for an up-close & personal performance!
