Celebrating Connection, Culture, and Creativity

Mark your calendars for Sunday 20 October 2024, as Crows Nest Mainstreet proudly presents the return of the beloved Crows Nest Fest. Running from 10am to 5pm, this year’s festival embraces the theme of ‘Connection, Culture, and Creativity’, promising a vibrant day filled with activities, culinary delights, and entertainment for all ages.

Expected to attract over 40,000 attendees, the festival showcases the dynamic spirit of the Crows Nest community. With 200+ market stalls, the renowned Gourmet Food Alley, the new North’s Collective Cantina Pop-Up Tequila and Taco Bar, and a bustling Food Truck Alley, this year's event promises an expansive and delicious journey. The festival footprint has grown, extending beyond Willoughby Road to include the lively streets surrounding the Crows Nest METRO, offering even more engaging activities.

“We are thrilled to invite everyone to Crows Nest Fest 2024,” said a spokesperson JoEllen Henderson, Crows Nest Mainstreet. “This festival is a true celebration of the vibrant culture and strong community spirit that makes Crows Nest so special. We’ve curated a day full of activities, food, and entertainment that promises to make this year’s fest the best one yet.”

Festival Highlights:
- Canine Capers: This year’s festivities kick off with the exciting ‘Canine Caper’ at Ernest Place, John Griffin Memorial Stage. Watch 20 local dogs and their owners compete in fun categories like best lookalike, best biscuit catcher, and the crowd-favourite People’s Choice Award.
- Pop-Up Bar: Head to Hume Street to visit the North’s Collective Cantina Pop-Up Bar, where you can indulge in margaritas and tacos.
- Sip + Savour: Explore along Hume Street and the top of Willoughby Rd for a taste of NSW’s finest wines and local distilleries.
- Art Battle: Don’t miss the Art Battle, where local artists go head-to-head in live creative sessions throughout the day, with winners selected by audience vote.
- Gourmet Food Alley: Located on Burlington Street, Food Alley will be a haven for food lovers, offering gourmet dishes from local vendors, cafes, and restaurants. Take advantage of special festival deals and experience the culinary excellence that Crows Nest is famous for.
- Music Stages: The festival will resonate with the sounds of talented local artists across multiple stages. Enjoy performances curated by Big Music at Ernest Place, celebrating young local talent, as well as local school bands and dance groups on Hume Street stage by the Pacific Highway.
- Kids’ Zone: Families will love the Kids' Zone, featuring a petting zoo, pony rides, and the return of the popular Circus Playground promising endless enjoyment for all ages. Prepare to be enthralled by juggling toys, stilts, unicycles, spinning and balancing acts.
