Save Wallum Fun-Raisers present A Celebration of Spoken Word: Our First Save Wallum Poetry Slam!
Join us for a fun and inspiring evening as 20 talented poets take the stage, each performing 2 minutes of their best original works. No props, no instruments, no costumes—just a mic, a stage, and lights.
Featuring our Spectacular Poets and Judges for the Night:
Beth Wakeling aka Beth the Barber: Known for her impeccable timing and cadence, Beth draws inspiration from past loves, the trials, and the simple joys of everyday life, delivering poetry that is relatable, hilarious, and poignant.
Daniel "Triple Nip" Pearson: A crowd favourite and wordsmith extraordinaire, Daniel is a world-class beat poet, Lismore Poetry Cup winner, multiple Nimbin Poetry World Cup finalist, and simply "That Poet."
Our Hosts for the Night:
CanD Flotsam: The hilarious CanD Flotsam jets some when excited, bringing a unique and entertaining energy to the stage.
Dr Barbie Galore: Heiress to the Barbecues Galore empire, Dr Barbie Galore is a lover of margaritas and poetry slams, declaring spoken words as “Everything, darlings, everything!”
There may be some open slots on the night, but to ensure your spot to perform, pre-register here https://www.savewallum.com/product-page/poetry-slam
All funds raised will go towards the Save Wallum Legal Fund for the Federal High Court Case and Save Wallum Campaign expenses. Come along for a night of powerful poetry and help support the mission to Save Wallum!
