They need to be with Rebecca. And they really, really need to talk to their mum.

A metatheatrical experiment exploring intimacy and masculinity, SMOTHER follows Dylan, a young transmasc person, as they attempt to come out to their mother, Christine, and fall in love with their mother’s best friend, Rebecca. Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, and asking big questions about transness, authorship, family and love, this exciting new Australian work comes from a team of Naarm’s best emerging theatre-makers.
