Back for its third year this October, Sydney Ceramics Market 2024 will feature more than 120 ceramicists from across NSW and ACT as a major event of Sydney Craft Week.
A must-attend event in the calendar, Sydney Ceramics Market presents exciting and dynamic clay-based works year after year—offering the chance to meet, support, and shop directly from a vibrant community of local ceramicists, potters, artists, and makers who celebrate the potential of clay in all its wonderful forms.
This year's event will be hosted in a larger space over two days at the historic Carriageworks in Eveleigh, and you’ll be spoilt for choice—from statement sculptural pieces to unique tableware, this is the place to discover new talent and experience great artistry in the craft of ceramics.
In addition to this year’s lineup of talented makers is The Australian Ceramics Association (TACA), presenting their range of ceramic publications and welcoming new member sign-ups; Clay Sydney, offering wheel-throwing demos open to the public to get muddy; Art Est Art School, providing hand-building demonstrations at their stand; and Porcelain Queen, the latest venture from ceramic artist Juz Kitson, launching a new range of porcelain clay for purchase.
You'll find unique, handmade ceramics from the likes of Public Holiday, Gabby Malpas, Sooty Welsh, Bakehouse Studio Marrickville, Ignem Terrae Ceramics, Casa Adams Fine Wares, Albatross Ceramic, and Caitlin Robson, to name a few, plus a group exhibition of 17 local Sydney artists curated by potter Brett Stone.
Tickets are available online via Humanitix and at the door all weekend, with kids under 13 free.
