Comfort Food Cabaret

Comfort Food Cabaret is the creation of Australia’s singing cook, Michelle Pearson. This multi-award-winning cabaret style experience, with Michelle’s sublime voice at the forefront, “is a dinner party invitation you shouldn’t turn down.” (The Advertiser).

The show walks a line between traditional music and story-driven comedy/cabaret, cooking class and pop-up restaurant. Diners are serenaded by the soulful songstress as she creates a delicious three course canape menu accompanied by a live band performing the perfect playlist of jazz, rock and pop.

Since its debut in February 2017, Michelle has performed Comfort Food Cabaret 107 times to over 9000 people in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe.

The show has garnered significant acclaim, including winning ‘Best Cabaret’ at the Adelaide Fringe in 2019, ‘Best Cabaret’ at the South Australia Theatre Guide Awards in 2017, the South Australian Government’s ‘Made in Adelaide Arts Export Award’ in 2019, and ‘Best Eat & Drink Event’ at the Adelaide Fringe in 2023.

Michelle was also invited to represent the South Australian Government’s ‘Made in Adelaide Arts Export’ program by performing at the prestigious Australia House in London, and at Freemasons Hall (UK) for the South Australia Club Annual Dinner in 2019.
